    My ideas…

    1. A portal where all the delhites people see the status of Traffic

    2. A magazine which gives idea of what is happening for “Business networking”..Delhi is a big city…but what gets covered in magazines like Time Out , Traffic and even Delhi Times is the hip – hyped things…to give an analogy…there needs to be a magazine with mass appeal but only for people interested in Business networking…

    3. A mobile service which gives you status of traffic atleast for every big junction of traffic …e.g. SMS ASHRAM for 565656 and you are alerted ‘Light” | “moderate” or “Heavy” traffic…

Ooops my no. 1 and no. 3 idea are similar…but am not going to delete any…:)

I like your idea No. 3…especially when most of the people travel between three states…its a very important thing to do…

    1. Is already a reality in Mumbai. Ladies special trains. Delhi needs them badly!! Buses would be an ideal start.
    2. A locality based car-pooling system can be done, that would be a good idea for a geo-web2.0 start-up … gaddee.in ??
    3. Get one of the southie annas to setup an uddupi restaurant in Delhi!!!
    4. A twitter based traffic service could be arranged
    5. Is there a blog out there which covers the happenings on delhi campuses?? sort of a campus-rumpus?

  7. Malesh Ponnusamy September 15, 2008 at 2:01 pm #

    – Maybe u should add armour to all your transport in Delhi.
    – And a weekly/daily combing of Delhi by bomb squads like municipality cleaning of the roads.

I hope all is well in Delhi.

    Thanks @kidakaka
    – a twitter based traffic share will be too good…! i think a lot of twitter based societies will make a lot of sense
    – I don’t think that there is a well known campus rumpus site.. however what can be a good monetisation model for it?

    Thanks @Malesh
    – Armour is a good business idea…
-All is well in Delhi – GK was buzzing today.. not as much though

    Hi Friends,

I have also tried few businesses myself but none of them worked for me. I have tried car pooling but these days people are very smart. They can waste time in traveling by local transport but do not want to pay extra for the convenience.

Also tried giving share market tips at a very nominal fee but again as soon as the word fee comes, no one is interested.

I am working in a reputed company as a technician but want to earn extra.

Guide me with some exciting idea with minimum investment.

How about starting a Tiffin service for the people living alone in Delhi????

Let me know your response on this…

well this is not a business idea but i felt like sharing. why not make an organisation or a group an NGO type to help new entreprenuers to help them like giving ideas or arranging funds or making contacts etc. well this can be used as a placement firm also.

How about opening an street school for all? Different kind of helpful learning matters regarding science, improving livelihood or any helpful session with very few rupees (for example 5 rupees for one class) where any one can join….People will learn also and your pocket will earn also…

Aakriti Great idea…… for collecting Great Ideas..

Hey….read your post….liked it in the first go, but then some thoughts emerged, especially for Question #1. ……and then I thought of responding via this comment…..don’t get me wrong (if at all I go wrong in my analysis or observation). One more thing…..I am not an aboriginal Delhi-ite, have been trying to adapt myself here since past couple of years.

I am trying to respond point-wise, as per your jotted those demands/ideas…

    1. Exclusive Public Transport for Women

-> Not a bad option at all, infact it does sound such a great thing. But dive a bit deeper…..you are re-creating the divide…..one of the main reason why crimes against woman happen is because there has been a perpetual divide and the two groups (men and women) have been kept so divided.
You demand makes a huge sense, if you believe that the divide between men and women should be never-ending.

    2. A chain of cheap fruit juices like Bangalore
-> I stayed in Bangalore for more than 5 years, and even now I keep visiting Bangalore every month. I am not too happy with the pricing, more because they ultimately add extreme amount of sugar 😦

    3. Paid pool in car system: Locality based
-> Look around, this is already in progress. I know this because I am working with some of the companies to make it a reality sometime soon and you will get to know it sometime this mid-year. This will be for all the metro cities, So Delhi will have it before Bangalore 🙂

    4. A chain of South Indian restaurants. Those cheap ones. An idli plate at 35/- bucks is criminal.
-> While in South India, I felt the same when I wanted to eat Chole-Bhature. Or for that matter I felt irritated whenever my paneer had any sort of kadhi-patta…..but isn’t that a taste of life? I absolutely believe that whenever you find the price of something extremely high, its time to explore something new…….while in South India I made it a point to give a genuine attempt at South Indian dishes, and guess what – I simply loved it. Can I request you to attempt something similar? Trust me, all is not that bad 🙂

    5. I am still thinking !! Pitch in your idea.
    -> Leave it for 2014 🙂

    Only blogs. No genuine idea.
