Civil Disobedience Movement

22 Jul

Fellow and Country Men! Gandhiji started a movement Civil Disobedience against the then Ruling Government. We as followers of Gandhiji have continued to follow his path. Every day in every way. Now you may seek preponderance of evidence. (just learnt the phrase πŸ˜‰ )

Arre if you are a civil disobeyer and really dont even know about that…. then you are a bigger contributor…

Now I think is the time to unveil the 4 key activities that make you a part of CDM.

Key activity 1: You contribute towards the filth amassing on the roads. Littering is the key activity here. You may argue that it is not civil disobedience cos Govt has’nt really asked us not to litter. But ofcourse I argue that they have employed a million sweepers to clean the roads, which effectively means that they want clean roads. We as CDM followers are aginst everything that they want.

Besides, It is absolutely common sense to throw that wrapper on the road, we pay taxes… an abominable amt of it. Moreover, but for our CDM, a million people will lose their jobs. Right?

Key Activity 2: Well this activity is male gender specific… I am sure you must have guessed by now what activity I am referring to. There is no argument here. The feline instincts of men signal to the Govt that the land is theirs. (don’t you know how tigers mark their territory)

Key Activity 3: Bribe. Overrule the Govt System. We must make sure that the men – that are part of the system are unable to achieve their objectives by getting the smarter men of that lot on our side.

Key Activity 4: Dare to not pay Tax. This is easier said than done. I salute all the brave men that escape ‘Lagaan’. Y-o-Y. Infallibly.

I am sure there are a lot of other CDM activities that I have not included here. Therefore you are welcome to contribute πŸ™‚

Key Activity 5 – To all the people who take to road and then drve their cars and bikes as if they are …
    1. Immortals – They drive at breakneck speed without a slightest concern for other fellow mortals

    2. Invisible – They try to zoom thorugh each small space on the road….most of the time this leads to more chaos on the road….but what the heck!

lol..quite true their aakriti… that i would say is the most straight forward, humurous and simple yet strong summary of comments on the so called CMD!( rather the every day nunsance we witness, n now r so used to tht it has quit surprising us anymore…)
..hope it achieves the purpose it has set out to!!
    gud job girl!

indeed there are a lot of other movemenets which you have not included… but you included the most important the most prominent movements including ‘yahan…. karna mana hai’ … i really wana say that irony and sarcasm in your blogs are really improving with every post. So keep it up. There is lot to conquer!

    Interesting viewpoint!

Maybe CDM #6 – Mass bunking of voting right…. or the failure to cast vote even though a holiday is given for that purpose.

    good one!!!

    My take:

Key Activity 1: Cant say much abt this as u hav a valid point here. But i’ll be the last person u’ll see throwing stuff on roads. in fact, i stop people from doing so πŸ˜›

Key activity 2: well.. cant say much here either.. i believe, “when a man has to go..he HAS to go”
The feline instincts of men signal to the Govt that the land is theirs – maybe u can replace Land with walls πŸ˜‰

Key activity 3: Practicing Corruption or high ambition??? πŸ™‚

Key activity 4: wish we had an option of playing Cricket against the Tax officials, and have “3-4 saal ka lagaan Maaf- ed”

That is why i say we should not follow gandhiji…
CDM #7:- Abuse the govt while giving bribe to officials.

    hey..ive got one!

CDM no. whatever – Spitting here spitting there spitting everywhere ( read in a musical tone). Like Shakespeare once famously said, “The World is a Spitoon and all civil disobeyers are mere players”

Thank You ALL…My opinion in line….
@Jyoti – I Agree.. the logic for this CDM activity is .. (you wont believe your ears).. that it is plainly to dirty the land owned by the Govt…. after all the GOvt is not making any efforts tp clean our personal homes….

@Abhimanyu.. It has already been pointed out in CDM #3.. none the less..you are much more clear with your thought on it

@Kartik.. well I think you can contribute more towards the cause… infact even i used to not throw wrappers until I started following CDM.. Also… one of us CDMers should act like Aamir Khan and try ractising your idea on CDM#4

@ Malesh.. very well pointed out…

    @Sukhpreet.. Thanks πŸ˜‰

@Anshul.. yeah .. i think there are a lot of CDMErs on Indian Roads

    @Jharna – Thanks πŸ™‚

Keep it up my dear blogger. I think youngsters these days are more aware and responsible than their parents and the last generation. Kudos to you for raising such a serious issue with your characteristic humour. Will wait for your next post.

aakriti at the sarcastic best… enjoyed reading the article…. also the people who completely disregard traffic rules and endanger other people’s lives by jumping lights, going wrong route n driving while drunk…..

  12. Aakriti Bhargava July 27, 2008 at 12:26 am #
